Applicability
Introduction
Some 2012 model year Tacoma vehicles may exhibit a wind whistle type noise from the front of the vehicle. This noise may be coming from the grille where it meets the hood. A revised grille has been developed to address this condition.

This bulletin applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs show.

Repair Procedure
1. Verify the condition.
This noise occurs due to a gap in between the rubber seal that is attached to the grille and the grille itself (see Figure 1).
2. Confirm by duplicating the noise then mask off the rubber seal between the grille and the hood. If the noise is still heard this bulletin does NOT apply.
3. Remove the radiator grille.
A. Remove the 2 screws.
B. Using a plastic pry tool remove the 2 clips.
C. Disengage the 8 guides and remove the radiator grille.
4. Install the NEW radiator grille.
A. Engage the 8 guides and install the radiator grille.
B. Install the 2 clips.
C. Tighten the 2 screws.
5. Test drive the vehicle and confirm noise is no longer present.
