DESCRIPTION

* If the AUTO UP/DOWN function does not operate, the cause may be one or more of the following:

* The ECU in the driver side motor determines that the driver side motor has not been initialized.

* The master switch has a malfunction.

* The Hall-IC in the driver side motor has a malfunction.

* The wiring between the master switch and the driver side motor is open or shorted.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

B -- GO TO DTC (B2311) B2311

C -- GO TO DTC (B2312) B2312

D -- GO TO DTC (B2313) B2313

E -- GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM LIN Communication System
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION

(a) Check that the manual UP/DOWN function using the master switch can operate the driver side power window Operation Check (from 08/2011).

OK:

Manual UP/DOWN function operates normally.

NG -- GO TO FLOWCHART (DRIVER SIDE MOTOR CIRCUIT) Driver Side Power Window Does Not Operate With Power Window Master Switch (from 08/2011)
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MASTER SWITCH)

(a) Use the Data List to check if the master switch is functioning properly.

OK:

The Techstream display changes normally when master switch is operated.

NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal (from 08/2011)

OK -- REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH Removal (from 08/2011)
