DESCRIPTION
If the AUTO UP/DOWN function does not operate, the cause may be one or more of the following:
* The ECU in the front passenger side motor determines that the front passenger side motor has not been initialized.
* The power window regulator switch assembly has a malfunction.
* The Hall-IC in the front passenger side motor has a malfunction.
* The wiring between the power window regulator switch assembly and the front passenger side motor is open or shorted.

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result
B -- GO TO DTC (B2311) B2311

E -- GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM LIN Communication System
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION
(a) Check that the manual UP/DOWN function using the power window regulator switch assembly can operate the front passenger side door power window Operation Check (from 08/2011).
OK:
Manual UP/DOWN function operates normally.
NG -- GO TO FLOWCHART (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE MOTOR CIRCUIT) Front Passenger Side Power Window Does Not Operate With Front Passenger Side Power Window Switch (from 08/2011)
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE MOTOR)
(a) Use the Data List to check if the front passenger side motor is functioning properly.
P-Door Motor
OK:
The Techstream display changes when power window regulator switch assembly is operated.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH - FRONT PASSENGER SIDE MOTOR)
OK -- REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH Removal (from 08/2011)
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH - FRONT PASSENGER SIDE MOTOR)
(a) Disconnect the M10 switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the M11 motor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the power window regulator switch assembly Removal (from 08/2011).
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal (from 08/2011)
OK -- REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH Removal (from 08/2011)
