B1206 - P/W Master Switch Communication Stop

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when LIN communication between the power window regulator master switch assembly and main body ECU (driver side junction block) stops for 10 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When using the Techstream with the ignition switch OFF to troubleshoot:

Connect the Techstream to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins.

HINT
DTC B2325 is stored when communication between the master switch and main body ECU (driver side junction block) stops.

PROCEDURE

1. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - MASTER SWITCH)

(a) Disconnect the J2 main body ECU (driver side junction block) connector.





(b) Disconnect the N2 power window regulator master switch assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the tables below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (MASTER SWITCH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the N2 power window regulator master switch assembly connector.





(b) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the tables below.

Standard Resistance:





Standard Voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Temporarily replace the power window regulator master switch assembly with a new or normally functioning one Removal (from 08/2011).

(b) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

6. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
