LIN Communication System





NETWORKING: LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM: TERMINALS OF ECU; 2013 MY Corolla [07/2012 -]

1. CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)

(a) Disconnect the 2B, 2E, 2F and 2G junction block and E51 ECU connectors.









(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

(c) Reconnect the 2B, 2E, 2F and 2G junction block and E51 ECU connectors.

(d) Measure the pulse according to the value(s) in the table below.





If the result is not as specified, the ECU may have a malfunction.

2. CHECK CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY)





(a) Disconnect the E36 ECU connector.

(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

(c) Reconnect the E36 ECU connector.

(d) Measure the voltage and pulse according to value(s) in the table below.





If the result is not as specified, the ECU may have a malfunction.

3. CHECK ID CODE BOX (IMMOBILISER CODE ECU)





(a) Disconnect the E22 ECU connector.

(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

(c) Reconnect the E22 ECU connector.

(d) Measure the pulse according to value(s) in the table below.





If the result is not as specified, the ECU may have a malfunction.

4. CHECK STEERING LOCK ECU (STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY)





(a) Disconnect the E39 ECU connector.

(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

(c) Reconnect the E39 ECU connector.

(d) Measure the pulse according to value(s) in the table below.





If the result is not as specified, the ECU may have a malfunction.
