COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR







1. CHECK THE RESISTANCE BETWEEN TERMINALS.







1. Set the starter switch to "LOCK" and connect the signal check harness.
2. Disconnect the signal check harness connector on the ECU side.
3. Measure the resistance between THW+ (E19) and AGD2 (D34) terminals of ECU connector (vehicle harness side).

HINT: Measure the resistance under any of the following conditions.

Standard:
2.45 kohms at 20 °C {68 °F}
1.15 kohms at 40 °C {104 °F}
584 ohms at 60 °C {140 °F}
318 ohms at 80 °C {176 °F}










2. CHECK THE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR.
1. Disconnect the connector of coolant temperature sensor.
2. Measure the resistance of the coolant temperature sensor.

HINT: Measure the resistance under any of the following conditions.

Standard:
2.45 kohms at 20 °C {68 °F}
1.15 kohms at 40 °C {104 °F}
584 ohms at 60 °C {140 °F}
318 ohms at 80 °C {176 °F}
