System Pressure Check

1. Connect pressure gauge US 1074B or equivalent between pressure line and valve housing. Ensure valve on pressure gauge is in open position.
2. Start engine, and if necessary, top up fluid in reservoir.
3. With engine running at idle, close valve on gauge and check pressure. Do not leave valve closed for longer than 5 seconds or damage may occur.
4. If pressure is not within specifications, check pressure/flow limiting valve. If pressure is not within specifications, check pressure/flow limiting valve. If valve is satisfactory, replace power steering pump.
