Removal and Installation

Fig. 5 Exploded View Of Front Suspension:

1. Raise and support front of vehicle.
2. Remove shock absorber lower retaining nut and bolt, Fig. 5.
3. Lower vehicle to floor to remove from control arm.
4. Raise vehicle, remove nut securing top shock mount to body, then remove shock. Use care not to damage upper ball joint when lifting vehicle when shock is not secured to control arm.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
