EGR Maintenance Light: Service and Repair
After performing the required service, turn off warning lamp, by pushing in reset button. On Jetta, GTI, Rabbit, Cabriolet, Golf and Scirocco models, the reset button is located on firewall, in line with speedometer cable. On Westmoreland Rabbit models, remove instrument panel cover plate and insert a piece of wire, with a hooked end, through opening at top left corner of speedometer and pull left counter release arm. On Vanagon models, push in on raised area of reset module, which is located in line with speedometer cable.
