093 Transmission Code

1. Clean the splines of the main shaft and lubricate lightly with lithium grease or equivalent.
2. Make sure the cover plate is properly seated.
3. Install and align engine/transmission mounts so that they are free of tension (rubber cores of mounts centered).
4. Grease bearing inside the crankshaft.
5. Start the spring for the slave cylinder before installing the cylinder.
6. Install the transmission in the reverse order of removal.
7. The wheels of the vehicle must be on the floor when tightening the bolts of the steering rack bracket.
8. Torque all bolts to specifications.
9. Check transmission oil level.
10. Adjust gear selector mechanism if necessary.
