To replace the Hall generator in the ignition distributors with centrifugal / vacuum advance, it is necessary to first remove the trigger wheel. To avoid damaging the trigger wheel or the distributor body, special puller 3163 should be used.
1. Remove the circlip on top of the trigger wheel.
2. Install the puller with two of the hooks in trigger wheel windows 180 apart.
3. Slowly tighten the bolt and withdraw the trigger wheel.
Note: A very small pin is used to position the trigger wheel which can easily be lost during removal. Be very careful not to lose or drop this pin.
