Voltage Stabilizer - Adding Diode To Circuit

Adding diode to circuit after replacing voltage stabilizer



If the voltage stabilizer fails, add a 1N4006 diode (obtained locally) to the circuit when installing the new stabilizer.

^ solder diode lead (next to identification ring) to middle terminal (ground) of new voltage stabilizer

^ crimp 4 mm ring terminal to a 3-inch long 18-gauge wire

^ solder end of wire to other end of diode


^ cover wire and diode with an insulating sleeve

^ install voltage stabilizer but DO NOT connect center terminal of stabilizer to printed circuit foil


^ connect ring terminal to ground post of engine coolant gauge
