Spark Advance Devices

BASIC TCI-H (used on CIS injection, and Carbureted cars)
The distributor uses both mechanical and vacuum operated spark control devices. The vacuum spark control device incorporates a vacuum retard function as well as a vacuum advance. The mechanical advance is actuated by engine speed.

TCI-H WITH KNOCK SENSOR (used on CIS-E injection systems)
No ignition timing advance devices are incorporated in the distributor in this system. The advance is controlled electronically by the knock sensor control unit based on inputs from the knock sensor, coolant temperature sensor, engine speed and engine load.

DIGIFANT (used on Digifant injection systems)
The timing advance is controlled electronically, similar to the KNOCK SENSOR system. The difference is that all ignition functions are controlled by the injection control unit.
