Neutral Safety Switch: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Loosen setscrew securing shifter selector knob to selector lever, then remove knob.
3. Remove shift indicator to selector support attaching screws, then the shift indicator and console.
4. Disconnect electrical lead from switch, then remove switch attaching screws and switch.
5. Position new switch onto selector support, then install attaching screws finger tight and connect electrical connector to switch.
6. Adjust switch until starter will only operate in ``Park'' or ``Neutral'' positions, then tighten switch attaching screws.
7. Reverse procedure to complete installation.
