Front axle nut torque increased



The tightening torque for front axle nut a has been increased from 230 N-m to 265 N-m (195 ft.lb.).

The increase in tightening torque has been made to standardize front axle nut torque with the Passat.

Front axle nut tightening torque shown in the repair manual microfiche will be revised during the next update.


CAUTION

Remove any paint residue or corrosion on threads of outer CV joint shaft before installing nut.
