A new fuel pump (P/N 191 906 091C) will be introduced as a replacement part when supplies of old fuel pump (P/N 191 906 091) have been exhausted.
The new pump has a positive lock connector that differs from earlier pumps.
Note
The electrical connectors of the fuel pump wiring harness must be changed when installing newer pumps.
Work sequence
- remove connector from fuel pump
- remove both wire terminals from connector housing
- discard old connector and protective boot
- install new protective boot over wires
- insert wire terminals into new connector
- slide protective boot over connector
- push connector on to fuel pump terminals
