Airsept(R) Application
- Install AS2VW tool over studs for air intake in plenum (loosely secure with nuts if necessary).- Thoroughly shake bottle of Airsept(R) and install onto AS2VW tool.
- Connect AS2VW applicator to air regulator Air regulator is pre-set at 58 Psi (4 bar) pressure.
Note:
Air supply must be 011 free.
Supply line pressure must be correct, too much or too little pressure will not provide the desired coverage.
- Apply short bursts (approx. 3 seconds) of Airsept(R) using tool AS2VW until bottle is empty.
- When bottle is empty, switch ignition OFF and let vehicle sit for approx. 30 minutes.
After 30 minute wait time:
- Remove Airsept(R) bottle from tool, remove tool from vehicle, flush tool and bottle with clean water.
- Fill Airsept(R) bottle with clean hot water and reinstall onto AS2VW tool, then apply air pressure until bottle is empty, flush tool with clean water and discard Airsept(R) bottle.
- Reinstall seal, air intake adapter, pollen filter (if equipped) and right side plenum cover.
Set Fresh air/heating controls as follows:
^ Temperature control knob to full hot
^ Fresh air blower to high speed (position 4)
^ Air distribution on bi-level (footwell and central A/C ducts)
^ A/C switched OFF
^ Recirculating flap switched ON
- Start engine and run engine for approx. 30 minutes.
- Switch ignition OFF; remove protective seat and floor covers.
- Return temperature control knob, fresh air blower, A/C switch and recirculating flap switch settings to customer's settings.
- Let vehicle sit for a minimum of 2 hours with windows open (preferably with doors open if possible).
- Enter date of Airsept(R) treatment into the vehicle maintenance record.
