Service

If vehicles are received with dirty/soiled interior components, the original appearance of these components can be restored as follows:

CAUTION

Before using any chemicals or cleaning compounds, carefully read all of the cautions and medical information on the container.

The cleaning steps below MUST be followed IN SEQUENCE:

- Identify all areas which need to be cleaned

- Prepare cleaning solution:

^ Autobahn All Purpose Cleaner Concentrate, Part No. ZVW 243 101, diluted with water

^ dilution ratio:
1 part cleaner to 5 parts water

Note

For spot removal of heavy grease stains, etc., a mixing ratio of 1 part cleaner to 2 pails water can be used.

- Apply cleaner/water solution to soiled area with a hand spray bottle. The nozzle must be adjusted to produce a fine mist.

- Using a clean soft towel, gently agitate solution in small circular motions until soiled area is clean. A small soft bristle brush may be used for agitating cleaner solution in hard to reach areas.

- Remove cleaner residue using a second spray bottle filled with clean water. Spray cleaned area, then dry with a clean soft towel.

- Carefully inspect cleaned area. Repeat procedure as required.

Note

Water marks/rings visible after drying may be due to local tap water pH level. Repeat the procedure using bottled water.

If a trim panel or seat cover, for example, cannot be cleaned to an "as new" appearance, you may elect to replace that part and claim the repair in the usual manner.
