Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Testing and Inspection

1. Remove the harness plug from the sensor and check the resistance across the terminals.

Coolant Temperature Sensor Specification:

2 The resistance/coolant temperature relationship should be within the range shown above.
3. If the values are not within specification, replace the sensor.

Note: When replacing the coolant temperature sensor, drain and refill the engine coolant.
