Checking Operating Pressures



Checking Pressure Regulator

The pressure regulator regulates the fuel pressure in relation to the intake manifold pressure.





- Connect pressure gauge VAG 1318 or equivalent with adaptor to T-piece 1 of fuel line

CAUTION: Pressure gauge lever must be in closed position during measurement procedure

- Run engine at idle speed and check pressure
Approx. 2.0 bar (29 psi) w/ vacuum hose connected

- Disconnect vacuum hose (2 in illustration) to pressure regulator
Approx. 2.5 bar (36 psi) w/ vacuum hose disconnected
