Side Windows Fog Up During Heater Operation

Condition

Side windows fog up during heater operation due to inoperative fresh air/recirculation flap.

Service

- check fresh air/recirculation flap for proper operation as follows:

- start engine

- switch fresh air blower to "0" (OFF) position

^ fresh air/recirculation flap must be closed to outside air (recirculation mode)

- switch fresh air blower speed to position 1, 2, 3 or 4 (ensure MAX A/C button is OFF)

^ fresh air/recirculation flap must be open to outside air (fresh air mode)

If NO,




- check fresh air/recirculation flap two-way valve (N 63) breather cap for an opening/air bleed -arrow-. If cap does not have air bleed, remove cap and discard.

- recheck fresh air/recirculation flap operation
