Rear drum brakes, Fig. 1, are self-adjusting whenever the brakes are applied. After relining rear brakes make an initial adjustment by measuring the brake drum inside diameter and transferring that measurement to the brake linings by turning the adjuster, Fig. 1, before installing the brake drum.
