Prior to performing troubleshooting procedures, ensure the system is free of vacuum leaks by inspecting all vacuum hoses for wear or cracking. Ensure all hoses are properly seated at their connections.
When performing the following tests, refer to Fig. 1, for control unit electrical connector terminal identification
On models with automatic transmission, position gear select lever to Drive or 2nd when performing test procedures.
