Steering Effort Occasionally High

1. Hydraulic oil level too low/oil loss. Check system for leaks and repair, fill fluid reservoir to ``MAX.''
2. Power steering belt tension incorrect. Adjust drive belt tension, check belt/pulley for damage.
3. Power steering pump defective. Check feed pressure, replace pump if necessary.
4. Steering gear defective. Check system pressure, replace Steering gear if necessary.
5. Air in hydraulic system, hose connections loose. Tighten hose connections.
6. Steering gear mounting loose. Tighten steering gear mounting.
