Distributor: Description and Operation

Distributor:

The distributor supplies the rotary motion for spark distribution and Hall sender operation. The distributor is located on LH side of cylinder head.

CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION
The distributor consists of the housing and distributor shaft. The distributor shaft is located in the center of the housing. The shaft is in permanent connection with a camshaft in the cylinder head and rotates at half the speed of the crankshaft.

In addition to the shaft, the distributor is a carrier for the following components:
a. Hall effect sender and components
b. Rotor
c. Cap and static shield
