Ignition Rotor: Testing and Inspection

- Remove the distributor cap.
- Check rotor for cracks or any signs of burning, or pitting:

a) at the tip
b) at the resistor (between the contact points)
c) at the center contact

- Replace the rotor if any signs of damage are found.

Testing Rotor:

- Check the resistance between the contacts. Reading should be:

600 - 1400 ohms

- If reading is incorrect, replace and retest with new rotor.
- Reinstall distributor cap.
