Compression Checking

- Engine oil temperature 30 °C (86 °F) minimum
- Disconnect Hall sensor harness connector at ignition distributor
- Install compression measuring tool US 1120 per manufacturers instructions
- Open throttle to wide open position
- While watching tester, operate starter until no further increase in pressure is noted
New: 10 to 13 bar
Wear limit: 7.5 bar
Permissible variation between cylinders: 3 bar
