Engine Control Module: Service and Repair

Engine Compartment Components:

1. Recall all fault codes. Refer to ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS.
2. Switch the ignition "OFF".
3. Locate the CIS-E Motronic control unit, which is under the drip tray at the center rear of the engine compartment.
4. Release the harness connector retaining clip.
5. Remove the harness connector.
6. Remove the mounting bolts and lift out the control unit.
7. Reinstall in reverse manner, using care when connecting the harness connector.
