Vehicle Damage Warnings

Some models are equipped with a radio anti-theft system that will disable the system when battery power is interrupted, unless the system is reset the radio will not operate.

1. Turn radio to On position, SAFE should be displayed.
2. Depress and hold AM/FM and SCAN buttons until 1000 remains on display.
If AM/FM and SCAN buttons are depressed too long or depressed again, radio will misinterpret the 1000 as an attempt at coding and one incorrect coding attempt will be logged. After two incorrect attempts to reset system, radio will lock up electronically. If this occurs, leave radio on for approximately one hour, then reset radio as if battery power were disconnected.
3. Enter radio code using first four program station buttons. Security code will appear on display.
4. Depress and hold AM/FM and SCAN buttons again until SAFE is displayed.
5. Release AM/FM and SCAN buttons. Display should change to a radio frequency and operate normally.
