Starter, Removing And Installing

Removing:

NOTE: Removing and installing starter bushing

- Disconnect Ground (GND) cable at battery.

- Remove plastic cap -arrow- from solenoid switch.

- Release push-on terminal -50- connector -arrow- and disconnect.

- Remove nut securing terminal -30- -arrow- 13 Nm (10 ft.. lb) on solenoid switch and remove wiring.

- Remove securing bolts -arrows- 20 Nm (15ft.. lb).

- Remove securing bolt - 20 Nm (15 ft.. lb) -arrow-.

Installing starter, 4 & 5 cylinder engines with automatic transmission

- Install securing bolts M8 x 40 - 40 Nm (30 ft.. lb) -arrow-.

Installing starter, 2.8 L 6 cylinder engines with automatic transmission

- Install combination bolts M10 x 35 - 60 Nm (44 ft. lb) -arrow-.

- Install nut M8 - 10 Nm (7 ft. lb) -arrow- at combination bolt.
