1 - Connection to carbon canister

5 - Gravity valve
- to remove, unclip the valve upward out of the filler pipe
- check valve for continuity: valve vertical -open- valve tipped 45° -closed-

6 - Ground connection

7 - Expansion tank

8 - Union nut
- loosen with 3217

9 - Fuel supply unit

10 - O-ring
- lubricate with gasoline. when. installing

11 - Breather line
- double line in station wagon

12- Fuel tank
- support with VAG 1383 when removing

13 - 25 Nm (18 ft lb)

14 - Holding Strap

15 - Breather
- check valve for flow:. valve lever in rest position: -closed- valve lever with slight lateral pressure -open-

16 - 10 Nm (7 ft lb)
