Control module identification
The control module version is indicated when the VAG1551 Scan Tool (ST) or the VAS5051 tester is connected and the control module for brake electronics is selected.

DTC memory contents remain intact even without voltage supply due to use of a permanent memory.

Data exchange
Occurs with the VAG1551 Scan Tool (ST) in operating mode 1 (rapid data transfer) and for the VAS5051 tester in operating mode Vehicle Self-Diagnosis.
