Airbag system


NOTE:
- The following table lists all the DTCs that can be recognized by the airbag control module -J234-, listed according to their 5-digit code numbers. When the printer on the VAG 1551 scan tool is switched on it is possible to obtain a print-out of the malfunctions together with their 5-digit numbers.
- DTC codes appear only on print-out.
- Some of the listed malfunction texts are only indicated on the VAS 5051. For the VAG 1551 in this case, only the DTC is printed.
- The possible malfunctions are dependant on the respective vehicle equipment.
- Before replacing a component shown as malfunctioning, check wiring and connections to the component, as well as the Ground (GND) connections according to the relevant wiring diagram.
- Check that all relays are seated securely in sockets.
- When repair has been performed, DTC memory must always be checked again with the VAG 1551 Scan Tool (ST) and erased.
- In addition, the malfunction type may also appear in the DTC table.
