Front Fender: Service and Repair



Front Fender, Removing And Installing

Removing

- Remove radiator grille, bumper and wheel housing liner.
- Remove antenna from fender (if installed).
- Remove hex-bolts - 1 -.
- Remove hex-bolt - 2 -.







- Heat fender in area of A-pillar using a hot air blower and remove (if necessary, cut through PVC material using a utility knife, this requires help from a second technician required).






NOTE: PVC must only be heated lightly and briefly. PVC must not change in color or blister.

Installing







- Installation is reverse order of removal.







NOTE: When bolting fender in place, install zink packing AKL 381 035 50 or equivalent to each bolt contact area of wheel housing/A-pillar.
