A - Improved lubricity multi-grade oils specification VW 500 00

B - Multi-grade oils specification VW 501 01
Multi-grade oils specification API-SJ or API-SL
(when no authorised oil is available)

Note: Engines 2000 and up are filled during production with improved lubricity multi-grade oils to standard VW 503 00. This oil is designed for extended service intervals. The oils mentioned above may be also used.

Engine Oil, Diesel Engine

A - Improved lubricity multi-grade oil specification VW 500 00
(for turbo diesel engines only in combination with specification VW 505 00)

B - Multi-grade oil specification VW 505 00
(suitable, without reservations, for all diesel engines)

Multi-grade oil specification API-CD
(only use in an emergency to top-up turbo diesel engines)

Multi-grade oil specification VW 501 01
(for turbo diesel engines only in combination with specification VW 505 00)

Note: Engines 2000 and up are filled at the factory with improved lubricity oil conforming to standard VW 506 00. Other oils, as listed, may also be used.
