High Intensity Gas Discharge (HID) Lamp Driving Direction Setting, Checking

HID headlamps may be equipped with a mechanism that allows the headlight beam pattern to be changed in accordance with market appropriate driving direction. Potential glare to oncoming traffic is minimized with the proper setting.

Housing orientation between left and right headlights is the same.

Confirm setting for the USA/CDN as follows:

Left and right headlight







- Unclip cap -arrow- and remove.







- Confirm selector -1- to be in upper setting -up arrow-.
- Selector up: Left-hand drive (e.g.: USA - Canada - Europe etc.)
- Selector down: Right-hand drive (e.g.: Great Britain - Australia etc.)

CAUTION: The hex socket portion of the selector is only to be used to move the selector into position. Do not attempt to turn the hex socket portion of the selector as damage to the selector mechanism will result.
