New Window Without Pre-coating, Preparing For Glazing







For the Passat saloon and the wagon a new side window without precoating has been introduced. The PUR sealing lip -1- and the spacer lip -2- only are applied directly to the side window.

3 Window glass


NOTE: The area on which the adhesive/sealing bead is applied -3- is not precoated or preprimed.


- Clean a 20 mm wide strip all round edge of window using cleaning solution D 009 401 04.
- Then rub edge of window dry using a lint free cloth.


Warning!
Ceramic coating on window is not primer! It must be primed before application of adhesive sealing compound! Use only primer D 009 200 02!







- Apply primer -2- evenly in one stroke using applicator D 009 500 25 -1-.
- Drying time approx. 10 minutes
