Special tools and equipment
- VAG 1551 scan Tool (or VAG 1552 Scan tool) with VAG 1551/3B cable

Procedure
- Connect VAG1551 scan tool (VAG1552). Then switch ignition on and select the Engine Control Module (ECM) using address word 01.

- Press buttons -1- and -5- to select "Readiness code" function 15. Press -Q- button to confirm input.

After all diagnostics have been successfully completed, display must indicate:

00000000 - Test complete


- Press the -> button.
- Press buttons -0- and -6- to select "End Output" function 06. Press -Q- button to confirm input.
- Switch ignition off.

If indicated on display:


Readiness code ->
00101101 - Test not complete


One of the diagnostic tests was not completed successfully:
- Press the -> button.
- Generate readiness code.
