Camshaft Bearing

Loosen And Remove Bearing Caps






A - Intake Camshaft

- Remove bearing caps 1 and 13 first.
- Remove bearing caps 3 and 11.
- Remove bearing cap 7.
- Loosen and remove bearing caps 5 and 9 alternating in diagonal sequence.

B - Exhaust Camshaft

- Remove bearing cap 2 and 14 first.
- Remove bearing cap 4 and 12.
- Remove bearing cap 8.
- Loosen bearing caps 6 and 10 alternating in diagonal sequence.


Tighten Bearing Caps

-A- Intake Camshaft

- Tighten bearing caps 5 and 9 alternating in diagonal sequence to 5 Nm plus an additional 1/8 rotation (45 °).
- Install bearing caps 1 and 13 and tighten to 5 Nm plus an additional 1/8 rotation (45 °).
- Install bearing cap 7 and tighten to 5 Nm plus 1/8 rotation (45 °).
- Install bearing caps 3 and 11 and also tighten to 5 Nm plus 1/8 rotation (45 °).

-B- Exhaust Camshaft

- Install bearing caps 6 and 10 and alternately thread in bolts in diagonal sequence and then tighten to 5 Nm plus 1/8 rotation (45 °).
- Install bearing caps 2 and 14 and tighten to 5 Nm plus 1/8 rotation (45 °).
- Install bearing cap 8 and tighten to 5 Nm plus 1/8 rotation (45 °).
- Install bearing caps 4 and 12 and also tighten to 5 Nm plus 1/8 rotation (45 °).

Threaded Connection Torque

Securing Bolts M8 25 Nm

Securing Bolts M6 8 Nm
