Safety Precautions For Seatbelt Tensioners

- Testing, removing, installing and servicing may ONLY be performed by qualified personnel.
- NEVER open or attempt to repair belt tensioner components; always use new parts (danger of injury).
- Seatbelt tensioner units that have been hit with any force or have fallen to floor, must not be installed in a vehicle.
- Always replace belt tensioner units which have experienced mechanical damage (dents, cracks).
- Storage and transportation of belt tensioners must comply with Explosives Act.
- distributor or importer is responsible for disposal of non-ignited units.
- ALWAYS install belt tensioner units in vehicle, as soon as they are removed from packaging.
- NEVER use impact wrenches to remove belt tensioners.
- If installation work is interrupted, IMMEDIATELY return belt tensioner unit to its original packaging.
- NEVER leave a belt tensioner unattended.
- NEVER treat a belt tensioner unit with grease, cleaning products or anything similar. Do NOT expose belt tensioner unit to temperatures above 212 °F (100 °C) even for a few seconds.
- pyrotechnic ignition charge does not have an expiration date, i.e. it has an infinite shelf life and is maintenance free.
- Belt tensioners that have ignited can be disposed of as normal scrap. It is recommended, however, that deployed seat belt tensioners be recycled.
