1. Self-locking 12-point nut
^ Any paint residue and/or corrosion on thread of the outer joint must be removed before the nut is installed.
2. Constant velocity joint boot
^ Check for tears and chafing
3. Clamp
4. Multi-point socket head bolt
5. Plate
Is only on joints with diameter 108 mm (4.252 inch)
6. Triple roller joint housing
7. Triple rotor star with rollers
The chamfer -arrow- points to axle shaft splines.
8. Circlip
^ Always replace
9. O-ring
^ Always replace
10. Cover
^ Always replace
11. Hose clamp
^ For triple rotor star
^ Installed to left side
12. Triple roller joint boot
^ Check for tears and chafing
13. Axle shaft
14. Spring washer
^ Outer diameter (concave side) contacts thrust washer
15. Thrust washer
16. Circlip
^ Always replace
^ Insert in shaft groove
17. Outer constant velocity joint
^ Only replace complete
^ Installing: drive onto shaft with plastic hammer until compressed circlip seats
