Read Measuring Value Block (Function 08)

The input signals and voltages necessary for the function of the steering wheel electronics are continuously monitored by the On Board Diagnostic (OBD).

The measurement block is divided into 4 display group numbers. The assignment of the individual channels can be found in the display group overview. Evaluating Measured Value Blocks
- Connect VAG 1551 Scan Tool, select operating mode 1 "Rapid data transfer", switch ignition on and input address word 16 "Steering wheel electronics".

After displaying the control module identification:

Select function XX

- Press buttons -0- and -8- to select "Read Measuring Value Block" function 08.

- Press -Q- button to confirm input.

The following example uses display group number 001
- Press buttons -0-, -0- and -1- to select "Display group number 1" and confirm entry with -Q- button.
- Indicated on display (1 to 4 = display fields)

Proceed as follows to change to another display group:







After the -C- button is pressed, the following appears:

- Input desired display group number.

NOTE:
- The actual values of the senders and sensors are always shown on the display.
- Other display groups are possible but are not needed here for troubleshooting.
- With the printer switched on, the current display will be printed out.
