Transverse Acceleration Sensor G200, removing and installing

On vehicles with a single Transverse Acceleration Sensor G200, the control module cannot be coded.





The Transverse Acceleration Sensor G200 is located on the driver side, beneath the floor covering and behind the seat cross member.

Removing
- Remove left front seat.
- Remove rear seat bench.
- Remove left door sill strip from rocker panel.
- Pull back left floor covering so far that the Transverse Acceleration Sensor G200 can be removed.





- Remove two securing nuts - arrows -.
- Remove Transverse Acceleration Sensor G200 with protective housing.

Installing

CAUTION! Strong vibrations can destroy the sensor for transverse acceleration.

- Installation is in reverse order of removal.

When installing sensor for transverse acceleration, make sure it is correctly seated in its mounting and is stress free.

Do not use the securing nuts to forcibly position the Transverse Acceleration Sensor G200.
- Tighten securing nuts to 5 Nm.
