Displaying & Reading Trouble Codes - 01V, 5 SPD. A/T (OBD)

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory, checking, 01V, 5 SPD. A/T (OBD)

Note: All functions which could previously be performed with V.A.G. 1551 can also be performed with the new tester VAS 5051.

^ Connect scan tool V.A.G 1551 and enter address word "02 Transmission electronics" and advance until "Select function XX" appears in display
^ Switch on scan tool printer with print key. Warning lamp in key must light up.





Indicated on display:
^ Press keys 0 and 2. (The function "Check DTC memory" is selected with 02).





Indicated on display:
^ Confirm entry with key Q.





The number of DTCs stored or "No DTC recognized!" will be shown on the display.

If one or more DTCs are stored:
The stored DTCs will be displayed and printed out one after the other.





After the stored faults have been printed out, the display will show
^ Locate and eliminate DTCs printed out as per DTC table
^ Erase DTC memory

If no DTC is stored:
^ Press -> key.





Indicated on display:
^ Press keys 0 and 6 for "End data transfer" function and confirm input with Q key.
