Lower Air Filter Housing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Pry lever (80 - 200)

The removal of the air filter on the right side of the vehicle is described in the following procedure.

To gain better access for removal and installation, remove respective front wheel housing liner.

- Disconnect connector to respective Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor - 4 -.

- Loosen spring clips - 3 - and remove intake hose.

- Remove hose - 1 - to the Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump motor (V101) on the upper air filter housing.

- Remove connecting line to air suspension compressor, if required. Refer to --> [ Connecting Line to Air Suspension Compressor, Disconnecting ] Connecting Line to Air Suspension Compressor, Disconnecting.

- Release retaining clips - 2 - and remove the upper air filter housing.





- Remove lower air filter housing bolt - 1 -. Also loosen bolt - 2 - to have more room for movement.





- Remove air inlet duct - 2 - from lower air filter housing from wheel housing side inward using pry lever (80 - 200).





• To install lower air filter housing, coat the air inlet duct connecting pieces with silicone free lubricant.
