I - Subframe, Stabilizer Bar, Lower Control Arm, Assembly Overview

Note:
^ Welding and straightening work on supporting or wheel carrying components of suspension is not permitted.
^ Always replace self-locking nuts.
^ Always replace corroded bolts/nuts.
^ If components with bonded rubber bushings were replaced or bolts/nuts on these components were loosened, corresponding wheel suspension must be lifted into curb weight position.





1 - Front final drive

2 - Subframe

3 - Self-locking nut
^ M12 x 1.5
^ 90 Nm plus an additional 1/4 turn (90 degrees)
^ Always replace after removal

4 - Hex bolt
^ M12 x 1.5 x 90
^ Always replace after removal

5 - Hex bolt
^ M12 x 1.5 x 90
^ 90 Nm plus an additional 1/4 turn (90 degrees)
^ Always replace after removal

6 - Hex bolt
^ M14 x 1.5 x 115
^ 120 Nm plus an additional 2 turn (180 degrees)
^ Always replace after removal

7 - Self-locking nut
^ M14 x 1.5
^ 180 Nm
^ Always replace after removal

8 - Eccentric washer

9 - Eccentric bolt

10 - Hex bolt
^ M14 x 1.5 x 150
^ 120 Nm plus an additional 1/2 turn (180 degrees)
^ Always replace after removal

11 - Lower control arm
^ Conical pin must be free of grease and oil
^ If necessary, clean using dry rag, do not use cleaning agents

12 - Self-locking nut
^ M14 x 1.5
^ 105 Nm
^ Always replace after removal

13 - Wheel bearing housing
^ Conical bores must be free of grease and oil
^ If necessary, clean using dry rag, do not use cleaning agents
^ Different versions for 16" and 17"/18"/18" Plus wheels

14 - Decouplable stabilizer bar

15 - Stabilizer bar mount
^ When installing, larger outer diameter must face wheel side

16 - Clamp

17 - Hex bolt
^ 60 Nm

18 - Stabilizer bar
