Blind Spot Sensor

Removing

The sensor brackets are bonded to and integral to the back side of the rear bumper fascia.

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Tools and Equipment.

- Remove the bumper fascia (2) from the rear of the vehicle.






- From the back of the fascia, disconnect the wire harness connector (5) from the blind spot monitor sensor (6) connector receptacle.

- Carefully pry the sensor bracket latch features away from the top and bottom latch tabs of the sensor far enough to disengage the sensor from the bracket.

Installing

The sensor brackets are bonded to and integral to the back side of the rear bumper fascia.

- Align and insert the sensor (6) into the sensor bracket on the back of the rear bumper fascia (2) until the bracket latch features are fully engaged over the top and bottom latch tabs of the sensor.






- From the back of the fascia, reconnect the wire harness connector (5) to the sensor connector receptacle.

- Reinstall the bumper fascia onto the rear of the vehicle.

- Reconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Tools and Equipment.
