After an Accident with Belt Tensioner and/or Airbag Deployment

• Each time passenger airbag and/or belt pretensioner on passenger side is deployed, Seat Occupied Recognition Control Module (J706) basic setting must be performed. Use the Vehicle Diagnosis and Service Information System (VAS 5052 A) to perform the basic setting.

• If the seat rails and/or seat pan is replaced after an accident due to deformations resulting from a crash, the passive occupant detection system must be replaced using the passive occupant detection system service kit (G452). Perform a basic setting on the passenger occupant detection system control module (J706). Use the Vehicle Diagnosis and Service Information System (VAS 5052 A) to perform the basic setting.
