Locating pins (T10096)

Installing (T10096)

To secure the subframe with the brackets, (T10096) must be installed in positions - 1 -, - 8 -, - 9 - and - 18 -, one after the other.






(T10096) may only be tightened to a maximum of 20 Nm, since otherwise the threads of the locating bolts will be damaged.

- Replace the bolts of the mounting bracket one after the other on both sides using (T10096) and tighten them to 20 Nm.

Securing Mounting Bracket





- Replace the bracket bolts one after the other with (T10096) and tighten to 20 Nm.

Securing Console





Position of front axle is now secured.

Continue with removing stabilizer. Refer to => [ Remove the stabilizer from the subframe ] Stabilizer Bar.

Steering gear, generation 2, through MY 2008, removing and installing, refer to => [ Place the under the subframe. ] Steering Gear, Generation 2, through MY 2008.

Steering gear, generation 3, from MY 2009, removing and installing, refer to => [ Place the under the subframe. ] Steering Gear, Generation 3, from MY 2009.

Removing (T10096)

Removal is performed in the reverse order of installation. Make sure that the (T10096) are replaced one after the other with new bolts.
