Subframe, Securing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Locating pins (T10096)

• Engine/transmission jack (V.A.G 1383 A)

Perform The Following:

Installing Locating Pins (T10096)

- Move the engine/transmission jack (V.A.G 1383 A) under the subframe and secure it using the tensioning strap.






- Unscrew one of the front bolts of the subframe - arrow -.






- Screw in the locating pins (T10096) - 1 -.






• Locating pins (T10096) may only be tightened to a maximum of 20 Nm, since otherwise the threads of the locating bolts will be damaged.

- The same procedure must be performed for the second front bolt of the subframe.

Position of subframe is now secured.
